Statement of Purpose
To watch a child developing to his full potential; to see him grow up as a leader full of the confidence that stems from accomplishments and joyful self-discipline: these are the greatest rewards of successful parenthood. The greatest privilege of parents is participation in all aspects of their child's training, since the essence of parenthood is responsibility for the child's whole being. The child is a gift of God to his parents, and they themselves grow as they help him to grow "in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man", in imitation of his Lord.
The Christian home is most fully capable of this achievement in its children when aided by the Christian school. Besides the family's regular worship and instruction at church, a child needs a school which incorporates a program that is self-consciously Christian in point of view, and academically out-standing in content.
When a child's citizenship is in heaven, and he is being trained in the household of faith to know right from wrong, he becomes truly free and develops a reverence for God, for those in authority over him, for all people everywhere, and for those material things that he uses. In this structure of created order, he progresses in the attributes of personality that indicate his destiny: self-confidence, initiative, self-discipline, and the ability to solve his own problems.
All aspects of the curriculum of Trinity Christian School serve this perspective of furthering the child's relationship with his Creator, and preparing him to be an effective Christian leader in his calling. Academic excellence in this setting is to be assumed, as are the importance of the individual person, and the authority of ministers, parents and teachers.
